Ethanol from Energy Stalk

Ethanol from energy stalk (a type of sugar cane) takes advantage of Belize’s traditional cane farming and sugar processing expertise. By enhancing output via mechanized harvesting and utilizing unplanted fields, energy stalk can provide substantial quantities of renewable raw materials for the manufacture of ethanol to be used in gasoline engines of all types. Processed in Belize for export to world markets, the demand globally for ethanol provides a profitable and growing market for the Belize farming industry.

Ethanol Energy Stalk Pilot Plant

Ecotec has the only Ethanol Energy Stalk Pilot Plant in Belize. We are using the pilot plant to identify the ideal energy stalks and optimum processes for the ethanol plant we are developing.
